Rycote 010321 Medium Super Shield Kit
The Rycote Super-Shield Kit (Medium) is a complete windshield and shock mounting system designed for shotgun microphones up to 200mm to 250mm in length. This industry-leading solution is trusted by professionals in the field of professional broadcasting. The kit includes a windshield basket (blimp) with an adjustable handle, a Rycote Lyre Mount microphone suspension, an XLR cable, and a Windjammer.
The windshield basket consists of two separate pods, featuring a twist lock system that secures the suspension chassis ring. When fitted, the pods completely surround the entire microphone, connector, and suspension, creating a still volume of air around the microphone. This effectively reduces wind noise while minimizing high-frequency loss.
The microphone suspension utilizes Rycote's patented Lyre Mount technology, which reduces handling noise without the need for elastic bands that can sag or require rethreading. The suspension is suitable for microphones with shaft diameters ranging from 19 mm to 25 mm and can be slotted into any of six positions to achieve the ideal balance and fit.
The kit also includes an 18-inch (450 mm) highly flexible microphone cable and a Windjammer, a high-quality synthetic fur cover that provides excellent protection against extreme wind noise.
